Transport

HOW DO I GET TO LTEC?

We have tried to cover all options to make your transit to and from LTEC as easy as possible. You can take the train & tram, grab a rideshare with friends or drive yourself. Large crowds & extremely heavy traffic is expected in and around Coburg Velodrome. Coburg Velodrome is accessible by train, tram, rideshare and car.

RIDESHARE / TAXI ZONES

The LTEC rideshare / taxi location will incorporate specific traffic treatments. Due to the anticipated high use of the roads around the venue for patron safety, the designated vehicle drop off zone is located on Charles Street near the corner of Lens Street. Correctly identified taxi and rideshare vehicles will be allowed access. AVOID Catherine Street and Hossack Avenue to drop off or pick up.

PUBLIC DROP OFF & PICK UP

The designated Drop Off and Pick Up zone will ONLY be allowed on Charles Street between Lens Street and Louvain Street.

TRAINS

Coburg Velodrome is on the Upfield line. Batman train station is 900m (approximately 10 minute walk) from Coburg Velodrome near the corner of Gaffney & McDonald St. This is a painless option and takes less than 30 minutes from Flinders Street Station, Parliament Station or Melbourne Central.

TRAM

Tram route 19 (North Coburg to Flinders Street Station) stop at Stop 38 Carr St/Sydney Rd Tram stop or Stop 39 Mercy College/Sydney Rd (depending on whether you are coming from the Northern or Southern Suburbs). This is also painless and takes 28 mins by tram, followed by an approximate 15 minute walk.

PARKING

Very limited parking is available in Coburg, with many of the streets only providing single side parking on road ways. CHARLES STREET will also be CLOSED for the duration of the event, for your safety. It is recommended you utilise ride share and pickup / drop off at Charles Street between Lens Street andLouvain Street to ensure your uber doesn’t get held/stuck in congestion.

PARKING FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

Parking for people with disabilities is a genuine priority for both the promoter and Velodrome Events. To access this service you must have an accessibility sticker on your vehicle and ID and TEXT 0402 551 754 in advance to arrange or for any other disability related queries.

Accessible Parking cannot be organised on event day.

The car park will be operational between the hours of 12.00pm – 10.00pm.

There are dedicated toilets for people with disabilities in general admission areas.
